About Me

I'm a junior in mechanical engineering at Penn State, and most weeks I'm running two jobs at once. The first is school. The second is NiSource, where I've worked as a field engineer since May 2025, part-time during the school year, on Columbia Gas of Virginia's distribution integrity program. I own the end-to-end design of a $4.5M gas distribution system serving a 460-home subdivision, building the design package and cost estimate and negotiating scope with the developer and internal departments. I've contributed to 15 pipeline design projects totaling $9.1M in scope through AutoCAD drafting, post-review revisions, and SAP project setup, and when the company moved its ERP to SAP I rebuilt 8 active projects in the new system.

My technical core is design and analysis: SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for CAD, SolidWorks Simulation for FEA, SolidWorks Flow Simulation when the problem is fluids. I do my own fabrication, using manual and CNC mills and lathes, the waterjet, or a welding table. What draws me to motorsports and defense is that these are two of the only industries where you can push the limits of what exists today.

At Penn State I'm the Design Director for ASME, which means mentoring 14 project leads across 11 competition teams in an organization of about 250 people, sitting in on their project meetings and giving feedback afterward, and serving as the design team's primary faculty liaison for non-competition projects. Last season I was an officer and led our BattleBot team: 31 people, one 6 lb robot, to a 2nd of 17 finish at ASME Combat Robotics 2026. Outside of all that I throw discus for the club Track team, where I'm 6th all-time in club history, and I spend as much time outdoors as I can.
